Wombat’s New Keyboard Comes With One-Key Access To Popular AI Tools

Wombat Keyboards has launched the Pine AI keyboard, a new 108-key mechanical keyboard with a numeric keypad and designed to make it easy and quick to access the most popular AI tools directly.

Based on the brand’s Pine Pro mechanical keyboard, the new Pine AI has four dedicated AI keys that provide instant access to popular AI-powered assistants and workflows. The four dedicated AI keys can instantly open the browser versions of ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Claude.

Designed for anyone who relies heavily on AI tools for writing, research and productivity, the dedicated AI keys do away with the need to open browser tabs or search for AI services. The idea behind the keyboard is to make it easier to get into the habit of using AI as a productivity tool more naturally and efficiently.

The Pine AI is based on Wombat’s Pine Pro mechanical model which comes with mechanical switches and PBT keycaps engineered to resist wear and shine with long-term use. In addition, it has true N-key rollover technology for accurate multi-key input and macro programming capabilities for advanced customization

The Wombat Pine AI can be extensively customized using the Wombat Pouch software which is free to download and available for macOS and Windows.

Triple Connectivity

The keyboard can be connected via Bluetooth or with the high-speed and low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless RF dongle. There’s no driver required and the keyboard works with Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.

Other features include mouse emulation for basic cursor control directly from the keyboard, a rechargeable internal battery with USB wired operation when needed, plus a connection to multiple devices over Bluetooth or the wireless receiver with easy switching between connected computers.

Each of the Pine AI Keyboard’s keys has dynamic RGB lighting that’s visible through the specially designed dual-material keycaps which have an opaque upper surface for the key legends and a translucent lower half to let the LEDs show through.

Programmable Lighting Effects

Multiple lighting schemes are available out of the box, but the LEDs can also be adjusted through keyboard shortcuts or configured with the Wombat Pouch software, enabling users to create their own custom lighting schemes.

The keyboard’s top panel has a water transfer printing finish showing carbon fiber graphics and patterns to give the keyboard a bit of visual texture and depth while still offering a contemporary look.

The Pine AI keyboard can be extensively customized using Wombat’s free and downloadable Pouch software, which can be used to customize how the keyboard behaves and for creating productivity shortcuts or custom macros for repetitive tasks, key remapping and other functions to boost productivity.
