Visit Mercer County receives Digital Innovation Award
PRINCETON, W.Va. (WVVA) — Visit Mercer County has earned the 2026 Digital Innovation Award from the West Virginia Department of Tourism.
Presented Sept. 22 at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Charleston, the honor is part of the state’s annual Almost Heaven Achievement Awards, which celebrate excellence in marketing, development, and overall impact across West Virginia’s travel industry.
Visit Mercer County Executive Director Jamie Null credited the organization’s cohesive digital strategy for the win.
“Our website, social media, and advertising all have different jobs, but they need to work together,” Null said. “Someone may first see Mercer County in a reel or an ad, then visit our website to find things to do, places to stay, or an upcoming event. We’ve worked hard to make that entire process feel connected.”
Null emphasized that adapting to shifting traveler habits remains a continuous focus.
“How people discover destinations continues to change, and we want Mercer County to be there when they are looking for their next trip,” she added.
