Taking on the Challenge of a ‘Fully Automated’ Video Media: It Was Harder Than I Thought

Starting today, I would like to share a series of stories called the “Marketing Automation Rhapsody.”

I am taking on the challenge of using AI to “automate” the process of delivering various types of content, so I would like to talk about that process.

People in the world say it can be done easily, but when you actually try it, it’s quite difficult.

What is a “non-person-dependent” explanatory video media?

The first installment is about the challenge of creating a “non-person-dependent” video media fully automatically.

“Non-person-dependent” means that it works even if it’s not done by a specific person.

Saying “anyone can do it” might not be the best way to put it, though…

For example, these are videos that explain things, such as the “history of coffee,” “explanations of wine,” or “explanations of beer.”

The reason I only use alcohol examples is because I like alcohol (laughs).

Recently, even 3DCG software like “Blender” has become capable of creating videos automatically when used with AI.

Can I operate a media outlet in “full auto,” from content creation to posting, all automated?

I am taking on this challenge as the first step in marketing automation.

Video by Blender, voice by ElevenLabs, music by Suno

Specifically, I come up with the plans myself and have “short videos” automatically posted to “Instagram” and “YouTube” “once every two days.”

The first thing I struggled with the most was creating the video material itself.

The moving images are created by using the AI “Claude Code” to operate “Blender.”

The voice was created using “ElevenLabs” (a service that can create voices with AI), which I have an annual contract for, also operated from Claude Code.

Only the music is manual.

I created one song using “Suno,” which can create songs with AI, and decided to play the same song as background music for all posts.

Text checking and final confirmation are done by me.

Every two days, Claude Code runs, creates a video, and writes the post text.

Inside my Claude Code, there are roles like ‘Content Creator’ and ‘Marketing Manager’ that even check if the text sounds right.

The flow is that I check the finished product the day before, give it the OK, and it gets posted the next morning.

Even up to this point, I’ve been playing catch with the AI many times.

Things like the video feeling ‘cheap,’ being too short, or the initial ‘hook’ being weak.

By talking through all of that, I was at least able to create a ‘template’.

Two hours for Instagram API connection

Next is how to post directly from Claude Code.

It seems like I could post for free to Instagram and YouTube if I connect the ‘API’ (the gateway for connecting to external programs).

However, this connection process was tough.

Since the AI operates the computer, it’s supposed to be something I can leave to it, but I couldn’t get it to work well…

While consulting with the AI, I proceeded by clicking through manually.

I think it took about ‘two hours’ just to connect Instagram.

After that, I tried to do YouTube as well, but after about ’30 minutes’ of getting nowhere, I put it on hold for now.

It feels like I spent the whole day today tuning the assets as well.

From now on, I want to automate ‘LINE stickers’ too

Even so, the ‘first’ Instagram post is scheduled to be posted automatically tomorrow.

Once I connect YouTube later, I think explanatory videos will be able to run on ‘full auto’.

Moving forward, I’d like to be able to automate various things, such as ‘LINE stickers’.

I hope to use AI to manage various things ‘seamlessly’.

I will be sharing my journey with this automation challenge for a while, so I would be happy if you could read the next installment as well.

Thank you for reading until the end today.

I am also distributing this as audio, so please give it a listen.

See you later.
