Samsung C&T said on the 27th that it had held its open innovation program, ‘2026 FutureScape Demo Day,’ at its headquarters in Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
‘FutureScape’ is an open innovation program jointly organized with the Seoul Business Agency (SBA). It identifies startups with innovative technologies and supports opportunities for proof-of-concept (PoC) testing linked to Samsung C&T’s real-world business infrastructure, as well as joint commercialization. The six startups selected this year kicked off the program in July and have conducted on-site tests for three months.
The demo day showcased a range of technological solutions for digitally transforming spaces, including AI home care, smart booths and logistics within buildings. The participating companies shared the results of tests linking their solutions to actual residential complexes and Samsung C&T’s own platforms, demonstrating their potential for future commercialization.
Key collaboration results included Home&Co’s launch of standard-price-based home care and repair services connected to ‘Homeniq,’ and Le Mong’s validation of the potential for introducing AI learning services for residents of Raemian complexes. A range of innovative solutions to improve space utilization and well-being were also showcased, including Dibeo’s automated dispatch of robot delivery services in offices, Inbeuseu’s modular smart booths, Team Elysium’s 3D sensor-based musculoskeletal health analysis, and Cflat AI’s conversational wellness checks and senior care.
Since 2023, Samsung C&T has achieved tangible results through FutureScape collaborations, including enhancing the AI wellness solution ‘Welpi’ and introducing AI-powered interpreting and translation solutions at construction sites. The company plans to step up concrete collaboration with the startups participating in this demo day, including further developing their services and integrating them into its own platforms based on the test results.
Hyung Si-won, head of Samsung C&T’s DxP Business Strategy Team and a managing director, emphasized, “FutureScape is an open innovation program that creates customer value by bringing together startups’ innovative technologies and Samsung C&T’s spatial and platform infrastructure. We will continue to provide customers with new residential experiences through close collaboration with outstanding startups.”[email protected] Jeon Min-kyung Reporter
