Dentsu B2B ranks #1 this year with a gross income of £42 million. Last year, the agency came in at #2, and it also secured the top spot in our 2025 US edition of the report – signaling continued momentum for the business. Will it claim the #1 position in the US again this year? Only time will tell. Bray Leino and Ledger Bennett take second and third place respectively, with both agencies climbing higher in the rankings compared with last year. Looking across the data, a few clear trends also began to emerge.
A peek into the marketplace
Despite the smaller sample, the data continues to show a consistent trend: modest but sustained growth. We saw a 3.5% increase in the most recent financial year’s average gross income from £5.70 million in the previous financial year to £5.93 million. Looking back on previous editions, we noticed a steady increase over the years.
In 2024, we reported an average gross income of £5.40 million, £5.60 million in 2023, and £5.91 million in 2022. Interestingly, when we looked at this year’s gross income, it actually hasn’t been this high since 2021 where we reported £5.92 million. This points to slow but steady recovery in a market still shaped by economic uncertainty.
That uncertainty is reflected in other ways. 39% of agencies describe the current B2B marketing environment as challenging, while 51.4% cite pressure on clients’ budgets as a very significant challenge. So in essence, growth is returning, but it remains hard-won.
In addition to these insights and the league tables, we have also included new sections in our report including a client satisfaction section which outlines agency NPS scores, client retention rates and much more, as well as a regional map.
