PalmPay bags 2026 award for digital banking innovation

PalmPay has won the Most Innovative Fintech Brand award at the 2026 BrandCom Awards, with the company citing its transaction reliability, account security tools and digital financial services as part of its innovation drive.

The award was presented at the ceremony held in Lagos in recently.

PalmPay said it recorded a 99.9 percent transaction success rate and has continued to expand the financial services available to customers through its app.

The fintech also highlighted its upgraded Security Centre, which it said provides tools to help users safeguard their accounts and funds against security threats.

Speaking on the recognition, PalmPay Nigeria’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Olorunfemi Hanson, said the company’s approach to innovation was shaped by customers’ changing needs.

“Innovation means understanding our customers’ evolving needs and developing solutions that make banking more reliable, convenient and secure,” Hanson said.

“From providing a robust range of financial services in one app to strengthening our security infrastructure in response to emerging fraud tactics, we continue to put customers at the centre of our innovation.”

He said the award affirmed the importance of developing services that deliver value and strengthen trust in digital financial services.

PalmPay said it was also promoting safer digital banking through its PalmPay Dey For You campaign, launched in September 2026. The initiative raises awareness of fraud risks and encourages customers to protect their banking credentials and verify suspicious requests through official channels.

The award follows PalmPay’s earlier BrandCom recognition for its contribution to financial inclusion. The 2026 ceremony brought together brands and industry leaders recognised for their work across different sectors.
