Nokia, Tech964 to modernize Iraq’s digital infrastructure

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Technology and infrastructure investment group Tech964 and Finland’s Nokia have entered into a partnership to modernize Iraq’s telecommunications and digital infrastructure.

The venture that combines Nokia’s network technological knowledge with T964’s local operational capacity aims to achieve key enhancements and represents a commitment to developing robust, secure, and durable networks to serve Iraq’s fast-expanding digital economy.

Datacloud Middle East is a major conference and networking event for the data center, cloud, and artificial intelligence infrastructure industries. The 2026 edition is taking place in Dubai between February 10 and 12.

With growing demand for internet services in both the public and commercial sectors, fueled by digital banking, e-government, cloud adoption, and business automation, the need for dependable, high-capacity infrastructure has become clear.

The cooperation tackles these issues directly, with the goal of closing existing gaps and promoting long-term digital development.

The alliance seeks to strengthen Iraq’s position as a critical regional data corridor. The agreement also improves Tech964’s worldwide connection platform. The technology will optimize international fiber transit operations and increase network resilience.
