Make Custom Memes Inside Google Photos!

As per the current reports, the Me Meme feature uses generative AI to combine a user’s selected image with meme templates that have pre-written captions. This reduces the reliance on third-party meme apps, and users can now generate memes directly inside Google Photos using their own selfies or portraits.

To use the feature, users need to open Google Photos, select a suitable image, and tap the Create or Meme option. Successfully doing these steps will allow them to choose a meme-style template. Next, the AI will analyze the photo, process it, and fit it to the chosen template. Finally, it will generate captions to complete the process. If you don’t like the caption, you can edit that, regenerate the meme again, or share it across social media platforms.

Safety and privacy are indeed two important parts to consider here. About that, Google has assured users that Me Meme doesn’t access photos automatically without consent. It will only use those photos that users will choose actively. It’s a controlled feature that will ask for permission before processing photos.
