Press Release
BENEFIT, Bahrain’s leading fintech and electronic financial transactions services company, is set to participate in the second edition of the Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector, bringing credit awareness and practical financial guidance to visitors considering their homeownership options.
The summit will take place at Exhibition World Bahrain from 29 September to 3 October 2026 under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in cooperation with Eskan Bank, it will convene government officials, financial institutions, developers and housing specialists to discuss the sector’s development, alongside an exhibition featuring property and financing solutions.
At its booth, BENEFIT will highlight how Credit Reports and Credit Scores help individuals make informed financial decisions and prepare for housing finance. Its team will explain how to access Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau services through the available channels, read and understand credit reports, and make regular credit reviews part of sound financial planning.
Visitors will also learn what Consumer Credit Scores indicate, how repayment behaviour and outstanding debt can affect them, and how to build and maintain a healthy credit profile. The team will provide practical guidance on paying instalments on time, reviewing existing financial obligations and assessing whether they can comfortably afford repayments before taking on additional borrowing.
BENEFIT will also raise awareness of scheduled recurring payments through BenefitPay, which allows users to arrange recurring transfers in advance, and digital direct debit via Fawateer, which facilitates payments based on electronic mandates. The team will explain how these services work and how customers can use them to manage regular financial commitments without having to initiate each payment manually, ensuring timely payments that safeguard and improve their credit scores.
Mr. Abdulwahed AlJanahi, Chief Executive at BENEFIT, said: “The second edition of the summit builds on the achievements of the inaugural event and provides an important forum for closer collaboration between government entities, financial institutions and property developers. Progress in housing requires a coordinated approach that brings financial expertise and digital innovation together to address citizens’ needs. At BENEFIT, we are committed to contributing our capabilities to these partnerships, supporting a more efficient path to homeownership and the long-term sustainability of Bahrain’s housing sector.”
Mr. AlJanahi added: “Reliable credit information is fundamental to a sound and sustainable housing finance market. It enables lenders to assess applicants’ financial commitments and offer appropriate financing, while giving individuals the clarity they need to make informed borrowing decisions. Ensuring that this information is accurate, accessible and clearly understood strengthens confidence across the market. Our engagement with visitors also provides valuable insight into their needs and concerns, helping us refine our services and focus our efforts where they can deliver the greatest value.”
Customer rights, data privacy and transparency will be central to BENEFIT’s awareness activities. The team will explain the Disputes service, which enables customers to raise concerns about inaccurate information in their credit reports, and the SMS Notification service, which alerts them when their reports are accessed. These activities will help customers better understand their credit information, monitor its use and learn about the safeguards in place to protect it.
BENEFIT invites attendees to visit its booth to learn more about its digital financial solutions and Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau services. Its specialists will be available to answer questions and provide practical guidance on accessing and using these services.
