Taiwan Digital Day 2026 connects Malaysia with AI innovators and their solutions via business matchmaking
A big team of Taiwanese digital technology innovators recently gathered in Malaysia on the day of September 23 for the Taiwan Digital Day 2026 expo, where they showcased a wide range of AI and digital applications, spanning agricultural drones, enterprise generative AI, AI agent automation, smart hospitals, cloud-based health platforms, fleet management, ocean intelligence, enterprise document workflows, and AI-powered scalp and skin diagnostics
Organised under Taiwan’s Administration for Digital Industries within the Ministry of Digital Affairs, and implemented by the International Division of the Institute for Information Industry, Taiwan Digital Day 2026 in Malaysia runs from September 21 to 24 across Klang Valley, featuring industrial exchanges, corporate visits, and business matching sessions meant to connect Taiwan’s digital solutions with Malaysia’s market needs.
The big day of September 23 featured Dr. Lien Yu-Ping, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, Mr. Yuan Hung-Lin, Director of its Economic Division, Mr. Ong Chin Seong, CEO of the National Tech Association of Malaysia, and Mr. Henry Lim, President of the Malaysian Association of Artificial Intelligence Technology and Innovation, reflecting the growing exchange between the two countries’ digital technology ecosystems.
At the center of the mission was the “Taiwan Digital Day & B2B Matchmaking” session, where Taiwanese providers pitched their solutions before moving into pre-matched one-on-one business meetings, letting companies from both sides explore technology adoption, partnership models, and paths to commercialization, which included:
- Earthgen Tech – AI agriculture through drones and autonomous aerial services
- Seafety – Ocean intelligence, marine data collection, and AI-powered navigation warning systems for maritime safety
- Eupfin Technology – IoT and AI in fleet management and transportation safety solutions for business
- MaiAgent – Enterprise generative AI, RAG-based knowledge bases, and AI agent automation
- Narsil Intelligence – On-premise AI infrastructure for assistants and workflow automation
- Arbor Technology – Industrial embedded computing, Edge AI, and automated control hardware
- Golden Smart Home Technology – AI precision health and rehabilitation hardware and software solutions
- Smart Group Solutions – Smart hospital transformation and medical AI integration
- Sentra Smart – AI personal wellness in scalp and skin diagnostics and digital beauty platforms
Delegations have also connected with Malaysia’s broader innovation ecosystem, visiting the Malaysia Semiconductor IC Design Park, attending the 2026 Taiwan–Malaysia Industrial Collaboration Summit, and meeting with the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation to explore local commercialization and tech incubation opportunities. The group also visited an AI-driven sports and health center in Selangor to study local approaches to mid-to-senior health management, smart fitness, and active aging, giving Taiwanese health-tech providers firsthand insight into potential synergies.
According to the Administration for Digital Industries, Malaysia’s ongoing push in digital economy development, smart cities, semiconductor expansion, and corporate digital upgrades has accelerated adoption of AI, cloud, IoT, and smart applications across both public and private sectors, creating fertile ground for collaboration with Taiwanese tech companies.
Taiwan Digital Day aims to build a sustained mechanism around identifying market demand, facilitating tech matchmaking, and supporting collaborative outcomes, helping Taiwanese innovators secure Malaysian partners, validate their technology locally, and pursue longer-term regional growth.
