Lagos-based content creator, Mercy Esiet Boluwatife, has explained how she balanced her academic pursuits with content creation while building her presence in Nigeria’s growing digital space.
In a statement sighted by Vanguard, she noted that consistency, creativity and proper time management played key roles in helping her manage both responsibilities and grow her personal brand.
Mercy, who began her content creation journey in 2021, said she started with the aim of creating entertaining and relatable content that connects with everyday audiences.
She explained that what began as a passion project gradually developed into a digital brand focused on lifestyle content, trending videos and engaging storytelling.
While studying at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), the content creator said she remained committed to maintaining a balance between her education and the demands of creating content for her growing audience.
Over time, Mercy has collaborated with several brands, including Lush Hair, Coca-Cola, Google, Oraimo, Itel, Fanta and Airtel Smartcash, while also participating in various digital campaigns and creator events.
She added that the opportunities have helped her expand her reach and strengthen her position within Nigeria’s creator ecosystem.
The content creator’s growing influence has also earned her recognition through nominations for digital content creator awards and invitations to premium brand activations.
Looking ahead, Mercy said she is exploring new opportunities, including a possible collaboration with global e-commerce platform TEMU, while preparing to launch her own business.
She expressed optimism about the future, saying she remains focused on creating digital experiences that entertain, inspire and connect with her audience.
“My story is still being written, and my best chapters are yet to come,” she said.
