CD Projekt Red has a packed schedule heading into the second half of the decade. It doesn’t surprise us that most of them are a part of the studio’s two biggest franchises, The Witcher and Cyberpunk. As of September 2026, the studio has also confirmed work on a completely new IP, while two additional projects remain unannounced.

The Witcher 3 is getting big additions this year, and The Witcher 4 is targeting 2028, but there’s a lot more coming afterwards. With more than 1,000 employees now working across its various teams, here are all the upcoming CD Projekt Red games currently known or rumored to be in development.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered

CD Projekt Red’s closest new project is a new version of its acclaimed 2015 RPG. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered launches on September 29, with PC and current-generation console versions joined by a native Nintendo Switch 2 edition.
The remaster includes both Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Existing owners of the base game can upgrade to the remastered version for free. The game will also be distributed through Battle.net alongside its traditional platforms.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past

Release: 2027

Geralt’s story isn’t quite finished. Songs of the Past is a new expansion for The Witcher 3, developed with Fool’s Theory, and is scheduled for 2027.
The expansion represents a major surprise more than a decade after the original game’s release. CD Projekt Red has already shown gameplay publicly, and the DLC has reportedly passed 900,000 wishlists. The studio says Geralt will embark on another adventure before Ciri takes over as the protagonist of The Witcher 4.
The Witcher 4

Release: Targeting 2028
Platforms: TBA
The largest project currently in development at CD Projekt Red is The Witcher 4, the opening chapter of a new Witcher saga. Ciri is the game’s central protagonist, with the RPG being developed in Unreal Engine 5.
As of July 31, 2026, 519 developers were assigned to the project, making it by far the company’s largest development team. The studio is currently targeting a 2028 release window.
The Witcher Remake

The original The Witcher is being rebuilt as a modern remake by Fool’s Theory, with CD Projekt Red overseeing the project. Previously known as Canis Majoris, the remake is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and will reimagine the first game rather than simply remastering it.
There is currently no release window, and CDPR has indicated that more information is still some way off.
The Witcher Sirius

Project Sirius is a different kind of Witcher game, combining a single-player campaign with multiplayer elements. It is being developed by The Molasses Flood, the studio behind The Flame in the Flood and Drake Hollow.
Development has undergone significant changes, including a reported reboot, and CDPR currently has 84 employees assigned to the project.
Cyberpunk 2

Release: TBA
Formerly known as Project Orion, Cyberpunk 2 is the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red says the game will expand the possibilities of the Cyberpunk universe, although specific details remain scarce.
The project has entered active development, with 184 developers working on it as of July 31. No release date has been announced, but it is expected to arrive well after The Witcher 4.
Project Hadar

Hadar is CD Projekt Red’s third original IP, separate from both The Witcher and Cyberpunk. Unlike the company’s established franchises, this is a completely new universe created internally.
The project remains in the concept and prototyping stage, with more than 30 developers currently involved. CDPR plans to expand the team to as many as 50 developers by the end of 2026.
All Rumored and Unannounced CD Projekt Red Projects Under Development

CD Projekt Red has also confirmed that two additional unannounced projects are in development, although their identities remain unknown.
One possibility is a reported Cyberpunk: Edgerunners spin-off codenamed Gemini, which was reportedly being developed with WayForward as a 2.5D fighting game with online multiplayer elements. However, its current status has not been confirmed.
The other could potentially be Hadar, but CDPR has already revealed that project publicly. For now, both games should be treated as unconfirmed possibilities rather than established additions to the lineup.
