Myanmar hosts international conference to promote digital economy sector
YANGON: Myanmar hosted the International Conference on Engineering, Economy and Technology 2026 in Yangon on Sunday (July 26), envisioning the future of the country’s digital economy, the state-owned daily The Mirror reported on Monday.
The conference brought together local and international officials, along with representatives from the engineering, information technology, telecommunications and business sectors, to discuss innovations featuring artificial intelligence (AI) and related technologies.
The conference featured discussions on the development of the Asia-Pacific engineering sector, AI development along the Belt and Road, regional digital connectivity, and collaboration opportunities for Myanmar, among others, the report said. – Xinhua
